Your wallet in red calfskin with oxblood patina is made with the respect of the artisanal know-how of the Duret Paris house. For more than 25 years, our values of exigency, finesse and perfection have been put into practice through the creation of unique and authentic pieces. Out of love for our art, Duret Paris pays particular attention to the respect of the industry from which its raw materials come: our calf, buffalo, colt, crocodile, ostrich, python and elephant leathers are controlled and certified. Most of them come from the largest tanneries in France, whose reputation is well known. The quality of our leathers and skins is our priority since they will constitute the essential of your future wallet or accessory. The oxblood color is then fixed on the leather of your wallet or accessory with natural pigments. A true trademark of Duret Paris, the oxblood color can also be applied with beeswax in order to achieve a patina. Your oxblood red calf wallet can be engraved with your initials or those of your loved one.
Since 1988, Duret Paris has been working with calf leather with love, finesse and excellence. Our calf leather wallets are entirely handmade, with the greatest respect for leather craftsmanship. Thick, resistant and of variable size, calf leather is used for the design of many leather goods and ready-to-wear items. Smooth and shiny on the grain side, calf leather is ideal for the creation of your luxury wallet from Duret Paris. Highly regarded for its quality and beauty, our craftsmen work the calf leather with other noble materials such as natural pigments. Calfskin leather can also be ennobled by applying patinas to your wallets.
Our vegetable tanned wallets have the advantage of using natural ingredients. The vegetable tanning technique, which comes from wood, bark, root, leaf or fruit, makes each leather unique: more or less colored, soft or light. The duration of a vegetable tanning can vary from 48 hours to more than 30 days. Vegetable tanned leather is also more supple and easier to work with. The vegetable tannins will oxidize over time under the effect of light, the leather will naturally patina over time for your pleasure. Environmentally friendly, vegetable tanned leather can be recycled.
For more than 25 years, patina has been the trademark of Duret Paris. Applied with natural pigments and beeswax, all the work is done by hand by Mickaël Benarroch and his craftsmen. Patinating leather consists in imitating the natural aging of the leather. The patina can have a classic look, an old wood effect, or marbled such as museum calf. Wallets made of calfskin, lambskin, but also crocodile, python or ostrich, all types of leather can benefit from a patina. All of these leathers, ennobled by Duret Paris with a patina, will make your wallet a unique and luxurious piece.
