Most of them are bought through France’s leading tanneries, which have an excellent reputation. The leather of your watch strap or accessory is then dyed the desired color, gray, using natural pigments. Crocodile

Our watch straps and accessories crafted in crocodile skin have won devotees right across the world – elegant people who appreciate the added value we bring through our superb craftsmanship. Duret Paris has built up a precious store of know-how over the years, and we are experts in handling this hard and durable skin. To make your crocodile watch strap, we use the skin from the belly of the animal up to its tail, but also from the flanks, because these are the thinner, more supple cuts of skin. Most saddlery products and leather goods made with crocodile leather use skins from farm-bred Nile crocodiles or saltwater crocodiles. To do justice to this noble raw material, we dye it with natural pigments that can yield colors ranging from hot pink to the deepest black.

Patinated

Exquisite patinas have been the hallmark of Duret Paris for over 25 years. The entire patination process is carried out by hand by Mickaël Benarroch and his team of skilled leather artisans, who apply natural pigments and beeswax to achieve the desired effect. Putting a patina on leather is a way of imitating the natural ageing of the animal skin. Patinas can have a classic appearance, or be intended to create effects like old wood, or the marble look of our museum calf. All types of leather can take a patina, and we have applied patinas to watch straps from leathers as different as calfskin, lambskin, crocodile, python and even ostrich. So whichever of these leathers you choose, Duret Paris can add a patina that will make your watch strap a truly unique and luxurious accessory.
