There are only about ten tanneries in the whole world that possess the expertise required for working with alligator, crocodile or caiman skins, and we use the best leatherworkers in France. Our alligator leather is flawless as we source it from breeding farms in Florida, Texas and Louisiana – unlike wild alligators, these animals acquire no scars. Duret Paris draws on its consummate skill and talent to craft alligator skins into top-of-the-range humidors and exquisite small leather goods. Over several decades, we have perfected the art of dyeing these skins using natural pigments and applying beautiful patinas by hand, all in the service of our clientele’s elegance.
